Covington, Dec 22 – John W. McMahan, 65, died at the family home here last night after an illness of two years. Catholic burial services will be held Saturday morning in Mt. Hope Cemetery. He was a son of Timothy and Sarah (Backus) McMahan. His wife, who was Lena Rogers died in 1928. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret and son, Roger of Covington; two sisters, Kate Shepard, Danville and Maggie McMahan, Covington and two brothers, Joseph and J L McMahan, the latter former postmaster both also of Covington. -kbz
